SCS Roundtable: Organizing an Ancient Narrative Affiliated Group
Dear Colleagues,
We’re excited to invite you to a roundtable titled “Organizing an Ancient Narrative Affiliated Group,” hosted during the upcoming SCS Annual Meeting. This event is a unique opportunity for scholars and students of the ancient narrative and ancient novel to collaborate on creating a dedicated affiliated group within the SCS.
Date & Time: Saturday, January 4, 1:00 PM–2:00 PM EST
Location: Exhibition Hall (Franklin Hall)
Virtual Option: We aim to offer a Zoom option, technology and Wi-Fi permitting.
This roundtable seeks to foster networking among scholars interested in the study of ancient narrative. By drawing on diverse theoretical approaches and methodologies, we hope to bring together a community of experts and enthusiasts. Together, we will discuss forming a working committee to draft a charter proposal for an affiliated group. This initiative aims to strengthen connections, support innovative research, and create opportunities for scholarly exchange in this dynamic field.
We would love to hear your thoughts and welcome your participation in shaping this effort.
If you are interested in attending the roundtable virtually, please email Evelyn Adkins (ewa5@case.edu) so we can share updates on the availability of a Zoom option. If you are interested in joining our incipient mailing list, please send your name and email to Umberto Verdura (uv2116@columbia.edu).
We look forward to seeing you at the roundtable and working together to create a scholarly community!
Thanks and best,
Evelyn Adkins
